I keep getting the following error:

SD7 Install Error.JPG

The SQL is off-box and the ASPNET and NETWORK Service accounts have SQL access (SYSadmin). the machine account for the SD7 server is in the local admins group on the SQL Server per instructions.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Did you install the SQL 2005 XMO?

Did you install the SQL 2005 XMO on the ServiceDesk server?

Yes, but...

unfortunately, the SQL server I am connecting to is 2008. I was hoping there were not going to be compatibility issues since SQL 2008 has been out longer than SD7.

Got it to work

followed the instructions in KB Article 49280 . afre creating the Ensemble db, I made NETWORK SERVICE, ASPNET, and BUILTIN\Administrators dbowner of it.

Symantec needs to built a prerequisite kit for SD7 else it will become shelfware.
