    Hi,

    I have tried to depoly SEP12 from SEPM12 for upgrading SEP11.

    But finally failure.....

    How to fix it ??

    Did you reboot? Found this:

    4Symantec Endpoint Protection has detected that there are pending system changes that require a reboot.  Please reboot the system and rerun the installation.

    If you've already rebooted, use regedit and navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\

    Delete the PendingFileRenameOperations registry value from the right pane.

    Immediately run the installer again (DO NOT reboot after deleting the key).

    Now should install.

    Hi,

    Sure, I have rebooted this PC after upgrade.

    You may see 0003.jpg, suddenly 2 folders left.

    Run cleanwipe to remove everything and try the install again. If the reboot issue shows up again then delete the reg key and re-run the install.

    Can you post SIS_INST.log and SEP_INST.log ?

    The SIS_INST.LOG is located at the following location:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.XXXX\Data\Install\Logs

    Just installed with option "not use “Add the program to the Start Menu”, leave this unchecked."

    But still failure......

    Remove the pending entry of sep client from system and try again

    From system drive and from registry

    Try to install Unamanged SEP client.If unamanged sep client installed you can replace sylink.xml.

    Install the older version and check it can be install or not. If install then deploy the client package with deployment wizard.

    SEP11 can install successfully. I also tried to deploy SEP12 from SEPM, but fialure.

    You can use Auto upgrade feature for Upgrading SEP 11.x to SEP 12.x

    You can delete the sep_inst.log from temp and try to install the again then after that post that failure log file.
