  • 1.  Fatal Error occurred in module DeploymentSolutionAgent.dll

    On one of our site servers that we have recently deployed the Deployment Solution components to the agent will no longer run.  The error in the log is:

    Has anybody seen this before?

    heard of this.  What DS release and SP/HF/Patch level?  Pretty sure this was patched.

    Ugh.  Is the site server physical or virtual?  How many SS's do you have?  If just one server is suffering, you may want to try a rebuild.  OR check to see what is running differently than on other SS's.  Different OS for example?

    We have 4 site servers right now but only this one has had the deployment tools configured on it.  We will eventually be rolling it out to the other 3.  We do have one site server that already has deployment solution installed and that is running without issue.  The OS's are the same.

    I have a .dmp.ez dump that is generated during the crash.  Anybody know which debugger is used to open and read these?

    I opened a case with support on this and we were able to get this up and running.  We basically just uninstalled all of the deployment agents from the site server and reinstalled them in this order.

    1) Deployment Package Server Components

    2) Deployment Task Server

    3) Deployment Plug-in

    4) NBS site services
