Easy solution

This error is commonly and cann be solved by rebooting the pc.
Most of the time this is because of open files. Delete all network drives if applicable, reboot the machine, logon locally, and it will install.
Another solution is to run a scripted install.
there is some information on the juice that helps you to ignore this error.
It does not mean anything.

Related problem in XP, but solved...

Hi guys!

Had the same problem this morning, but what was causing it was Novell's dpmw32.exe...

This is Novell's Distributed Print Manager. It takes a look at your account and then properly gives you whatever printers you have access to, installing/updating drivers, as necessary. When it works, it works great, but all too often this app gives me a rough time. I disable it through msconfig.

While this may have nothing to do with your problem, I hope this helps someone!

Regards,

Jordan

Fatal Error in Vista

The only workaround for this error is to disable the User Access Control in User Accounts in control panel.

Disable the User Access Control, restart install SVS, Enable User Access Control, final restart.

Once installed, it will ask for permission when trying to load the Admin window.
---works for me this way

Actually if you run a

Actually if you run a command prompt elevated and then run the installer from the command prompt you can also get around this problem.
