Faulting application DLOClientu.exe
Created: 23 Nov 2010 | 7 comments
We have BackupExec 2010 with all updates installed via LiveUpdate. We are using Desktop Laptop Option. I have ONE user that is having issues. All other users are backing with no problems.
All of our users login to a windows domain. When he logins to his XP laptop, we get the following error:
Faulting application DLOClientu.exe, version 3.1.342.4401, faulting module DLOClientu.exe, version 3.1.342.4401, fault address 0x002f2abd
When I or any other user logs to his laptop, Backupexec client works fine.
He has local admin rights on the laptop. Please help!

Have you tried re-creating his profile?
1) Copy out the important stuff under his profile, like My Documents, etc.
2) Delete the profile
3) Ask him to log in again to create a new profile
4) copy back the important stuff to this new profile.
I recreated the profile. Deleted the old one. Still same issue
What happen when this user use another machine? Does DLO still fail?
We've tested this on a number of different latops. If I login, DLO works fine. If this user logs in, DLO crashes with the above referenced error. I've completed deleted and recreated his profile

This may be a long shot. Try deleting this user from DLO and then adding him again.
In the process of troubleshooting, I've deleted and recreated the user many times already....
