*Per discussion with Symantec Support, I am submitting a feature request for discussion/consideration to be implemented in a future version.  It was mentioned to me that this location is the best for submitting feature requests by customers.

Feature Name - Full Settings Backup via Console

Description - In order to backup ghost 3.1's settings, a technician needs to log into the server and access Microsoft SQL Server Management console.  While this isn't a difficult task, it is a bit confusing as normally most programs backup their settings right through their management UI.  In order to make it easier and more convenient to backup the server and console settings, could a "Backups" section be added to the console?  Specifically, the ability to backup the database, settings, and inventory manually all in one place is needed.  Additionally, a scheduling feature to backup the settings on a schedule would be a welcomed addition if possible.

Additional Notes - An additional backup feature needed would be the ability to store the scheduled or manual backup to remote file server locations.  Specifically utilizing a UNC path. The most streamlined way to achieve this would be to access the new backup screen right from a drop down items within the console.  Standalone applications are clunky and not nearly as consolidated as items accessed right from a drop down menu.

Might also be worth mailing it direct to David Evans, the product manager. You should be able to use the Connect email system for this.
