    hi,

    i wrote several  Product Feedbacks with some feature wishes - can you tell me if some of my wishes are in Version  8.0? Is there any Information about new features in the upcoming releases?

     

    Symantec Brightmail Gateway 8360 / 7.7

     

    Here my feature wish list:

    * command line commands for 'all' actions

    * backup restrictions for compliance folders

    * enhanced compliance actions for approve/reject (reject all, reject & delete all)

    * scheduler for LDAP & cc sync (e.g. every 1st Monday 08:00 am)

    * detailed error descriptions for aborted connections (without enabling debug options)

    * detailed disk usage overview

    * rollover compliance folders (e.g. define 10GB if this is reached delete xx MB 'old' Documents or define a cutoff period like if older 2month delete)

    * add a disclaimer function (i know i can use compliance settings for this but this is not practicable)

    * add 'delete all attachment' as compliance action

     

    puhh i think that's it...

    Hi,

     

    Firstly, thanks for the comments.  I'm always happy to see people asking us to take the product forward.

    Unfortunately we don't discuss specific upcoming features and development effort for our products in public so I can't give you a response right now.

    You can read our public information about BGW 8.0 and what's coming on the symantec.com website.

    hi,

    thanks for your fast response!

    It's really hard do get information or feedback from symantec regarding there products - maybe you should take a look at the notes community (http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/community/) - I think this kind of discussion i a very big benefit for customers and the vendor...

    I really tried all ways of communication (technical account manager, product feedback, support) but it's nearly impossible to get proper information regarding new features/wishes...
