File Preservation Corruption Windows XP to Windows 7 Deployment

    I am currently Migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7 using Altiris Deployment 7.1 and Ghost. I am trying to use the Preserve Files tab when applying the image. When I image from XP 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit the files are preserved but they are corrupt. When I image from Windows 7 64-Bit to Windows 7 64-Bit the files are retained and no corruption occurs. we are using Ghost32 and the command line switches From the ClientDeployLog are as follows

    -preserveifexists=C:\PCTBackup -preservedest=1  -batch -sure -clone,MODE=restore,DST=1,SRC="\\Siteserver\\deployment\task handler\image\cadf4c70-69af-4707-bfb2-868f1588f578\GhostImage.gho"
