    File System Auto-Protect is not functioning correctly. Your protection definitions may be damaged or your product installation may be corrupt.

    Hello,

    In your case, I would suggest you to follow the Symantec Knowledgebase Article:

    File System Auto-Protect is malfunctioning

    Try these Steps as well.

    1) Go to services.msc

    2) Stop all the symantec services

    3) Open task manager

    4) Kill rtvscan.exe and smc.exe

    5) Again, restart the service

    6) If that does not fix, repairing from add/remove programs should fix the issue.

    What version are you running?

    Upgrading to the latest version usually fixes issues such as these.
