This morning I found all my icons in white. I have restarted my pc and now I have all my files with .vvv extention.

I fear that I have the virus TeslaCrypt.

Can you help me? Is it possible to restore the files?

    Thanks

Unless you have a good working backup then no, your files are lost. There is no way to currently break the encryption.

    Two options remain, unfortunately:

    1. Restore from a known good backup
    2. Re-image the machine

Thanks for information. Unfortunately I have to format my HD.

    Hi jumpjumper,

Thanks for the post.  This sounds like TeslaCrypt: Security Response has been warning about this.

TeslaCrypt is just one of many cryptolockers.  These articles may help prepare against future infections:

A full protection stack helps to defend against these attacks, including Symantec Email Security.cloud which can block email-borne threats, Symantec Web Gateway blocking web-based threats, and Symantec Endpoint Protection.
