Harsh check out the teck note below

I see that you have already tried resolution 1. Please verify that you have set the VSS service to Manual on both the media and remote servers. Additionally did you try restarting the remote box?

I hope this posting was helpful

Hi,

What type of files are you backing up in this job? Please post any errors that you see occuring in Windows Events during the time the job ran.

Thanks

Hi Donald,

Yes I have tried these things already & I am taking local drives in Backup job, there is no remote server.

After rebooting the server 1 day backup will work fine, but after that it again failed with the same error.

Thanks

Harsh

Any errors in the event viewer ? Would you pls post the job log as well.

Any other backup application running on the server / are shadow copies enabled on the server ?

...you might have installed the VSS Rollup Patch, but have you made sure that Windows is also fully patched? Is BE 9.1 up-to-date?

...hence asking you if Windows is up-to-date with patches outside of the VSS rollup patch!

Is BE up-to-date? Have you tried recreating the job?

Is the Remote Agent service running under local system account ?

Lastly, are you able to get a successful backup using the native backup utility ?

Harsh Anand's picture

Yes windows is Up to date we update this server every week,

Yes BE is also up to date,

No I hav'nt tried to recreate the job. Do you think this is related to the job ?But some time I get successfully backup after reboot.
