find / -name ZFStypes.cf -print shows nothing

root@testsystem:/etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config# hares -add zpool1 ZFS mygrp
VCS WARNING V-16-1-10409 Type does not exist: ZFS
root@testsystem:/etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config#

By convention, the VCS Types files have the type-name directly followed by the string "Types.cf" (note the exact case shown here).

Try searching for ZFSTypes.cf instead of ZFStypes.cf.

The type for a ZFS storage pool is Zpool (case sensitive), not ZFS and this is contained in the standard types file (/etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config/types.cf).

Mike is correct, Zpool is the correct type - for more details see the VCS Bundled Agents Reference guide (eg: for VCS 6.0.1 (Solaris) - http://www.symantec.com/business/support/resources... )

Also, to list/display available types:

# hatype -list
[...]
Volume
VolumeSet
Zone
Zpool
