I use Norton for my main anti-virus protection.  But I have a question about what all it will or will not find.

I create web pages for clients.  There are people who manage to get malicious software onto web pages, software that will then infect computers of people who visit those pages.  When I have those pages on my own computer, will Norton find that type of malware?

Symantec has AV signatures for different types of threats that can be loaded into HTML pages. If the threat lives in Java or other types of applications, Symantec should protect you. When you are storing those pages on your local system, as long as you do not load the page in a browser you are safe, as the malicious code cannot execute by itself. Do not click any links that may have been added or altered until you made sure the URL is correct.
