  • 1.  Firewall blocking self built executables

We are using the Small business cloud console to manage around 50 computers on our network. The majority of these are developers, and therefore we regularly have rebuilds of our software. It seems like the firewall is detecting every built instance as a different executable, and prompting us to allow it each time.

Is it possible to add an exclusion based on the name of a program? Program control isn't working and we now have around 360 pages of duplicates for the exe. Are there any alternatives to Program control?

Is it detecting the app as malicious or just blocking traffic? I'm not sure there is muchof an alternative aside from program control.

Have you checked to see if they can whitelist your app?

It's blocking traffic to a local server, flashing up as suspicious network activity.

The for this, you just need to configure a firewall rule to allow that traffic.

That seems blindingly obvious now you've said it :) Thanks Brian it seems to have gone away for now.
