Hi

We will be putting our master server (which is also the backup proxy) on a different network segment from the ESX hosts & virtual centre.

What are the firewall ports requirements that is required to be allowed for communication between master, esx and virtual centre?

Thanks.

I guess other than NetBackup

I guess other than NetBackup ports, 443 is required.

Thanks, Karthikeyan Sundaram.

VMware ports

Proxy to Vcenter 443

ESX server to Proxy 902

Proxy to master/media server 1556.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.
