What is Symantec’s suggestion when it comes to using Windows XP SP3 Firewall at the same time as Symantec endpoint Protection’s Network Threat Protection firewall?

I am running SEP version 11.0.6200.754 on every PC in the company and I have notice a system slow down when I activate the windows XP firewall.

Use any one firewall at a time. In my opinion SEP firewall is easy to manage.

    I second that statement.

    Hi

I suggest you to turnoff the windows firewall because SEP protect both incoming and outgoing traffic . In windows firewall only one way.

totally agree with Optimus and others, it's two way traffic scanner and easy to manage.

Also in SEP firewall we will get various granular statistics of traffic flowing across(traffic logs), so it will be good to run SEP firewall instead of windows firewall(which saves logs in pfirewall.log)

The choice is yours but use any 1 Firewall. Preferably SEP Firewall because of better administration and more robustness.
