  • 1.  the "Fix" (updates) simply does not work for me

    I downloaded and attempted many updates. It would never get all the way updated, even after repeated attempts over a couple of days, i.e., the "fix" screen remained, never got fixed. Then their windows symantechelp.exe file especially for windows simply would not run on my up to date windows. Then I discover that symantexc has another file you can download, an "intelligent" something....proving that their original software and their original help/fix it software were both apparently just slopped together and thrown out there for people to buy. That's the last straw. (I really do not have any more desire to go through additional software, help desks, etc.) I am now uninstalling this flaw-infested pierce of crap.This product seems totally useless to me.  There are, I have now found, other software out there which is, compared to Endpoint, relatively error-free.

    The point of the Intelligent Updater is mostly to update offline clients.

    Perhaps your file definitions are corrupt, symhelp will tell you if that is the case. Why won't it run? What errors come up?

    What version of SEP are you running exactly? If 11.x, it is end of support life and no longer receives updates.

    If you're going to bash SEP that's fine then close out this thread. But if you want actual help then feel free to post back asking for it.
