  • 1.  folder exception for a single client

Hello, is it possible to configure a centralized exception that excludes a folder from all scans and applies to a single client rather than "All clients" ?

If not, is there a workaround ? ( put the client on a subfolder and apply a dedicated policy to it could be a solution but  it adds even more complexity to the structure than apply the exclusion to all clients )

Create a separate group only for that client and break inheritance on it. Than create a separate exception policy and apply it to that group only.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

    Yes, it's possible.

Create a separate group amd move that particular client only into the group & apply dedicated policy to it.

For the exception of single client you can add it manually from client system otherwise create a new group add that client on same group after that apply the exception on that group

Rather than creating a new group for one single client. why dont you create an exception on the client side using SEP interface

How to add a Security Risk Exception on an unmanaged Symantec Endpoint Protection Client

Create the test group and move particular client into the same.

Then right click at the original group and choose "Copy Policy", right click at the test group and choose "Paste Policy". So you will copy all policies and then modify only policy which is required.
