Folder re-creation - TS roaming profiles.
Created: 21 Aug 2012 | 8 comments
Hi,
I'm in the process of integrating SEP 12.1 in to a new centrally provisioned Citrix Xenapp 6 environment and we've decided to use local/unmanaged clients on the Citrix Application server images. We are now seeing issues with user profiles not being cleared down correctly and what seems even more strange is that the following folder is being re-created some time after user log off:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\Logs
All other user profile folders are deleted upon logoff as you would expect, and it would appear that the aforementioned is created after the UPM has done its job?
Would appreciate any ideas!
Steve

Hi,
Citrix best practice
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH91070
I hope smcgui.exe and ccapp.exe have been disabled as suggested into Symantec Best Practices & exclusions are made regarding Citrix folders/files.
UPHclean v1.6d is installed on the machine ?
Does this issue disappears when Symantec Endpoint Protection service is disabled ?

Hi,
Thanks for the responses so far.
I have followed the best practices guide and to summarise, we're not running the network threat protection, all of the required exclusions are in place and when the smc services are stopped we don't see the folder re-creation.
We have now also attempted the fix associated with;
Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 RU1 has a conflict with Citrix Profile Management 4.0
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH179407
This didn't help..
To re-iterate, the folders are all being cleared down after user log off, but are then being recreated at a later time?
Is there a way to change where the logs folder is created? such as a c:\temp\<username> ?
bump..
I am also having this issue
