  • 1.  Force task to complete if one computer fails

I'm using suite 2.5.1 and when I create a task to image a lab (say, 25 computers) the task fails if for some reason one of computer fails to connect. My question is:

Is there a way to force the task to continue even if one or more of the computers cannot "join the task"?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you use boot disks or PXE that you can sort of.  On the ghost cast server you can start the session even if you don't have the full number of clients started.  However from the ghost console I don't think you have this option.

Bring up the ghost cast server that is opened on the task bar and look to see if the option to start the session is grayed out or not.   If not then you could kick it off whith just how many are currently joined to that ghost cast server.

    Cheers

Thank you for your response. From the ghost cast server yes it can be done, however when using the ghost console that option is grayed out.

I use a scheduled task to image labs overnight, but sometimes it fails if one or more machines canot join the task.

I was wondering if there's a setting or perhaps a command that would force the task to continue after 15 minutes (for example) even if all machines do not responde.
