  • 1.  Force update from local server?

    Posted Feb 05, 2010 03:16 PM
I have about 100 laptops that I have to restore from images very often.

Following the restore they are only connected to the network for a few minutes until I shut them down and put them away.

How can I force update the program / definitions from my local server (using .bat script preferably) instead of using Live Update? I need to automate this process, and it seems stupid to download the same updates 100 times from the internet.

Isn't luall.exe just initaiting Live update and downloading updates from the internet? Forgive me if I am ignorant to the operation of live update.

Download RapidRelease definitions on the server , share it and point the client to take the defs from it..

or check if these scripts help you.

Running Luall will force the client to connect to internet for updates..
