Format USB Hard Drive That Had Been Encrypted with PGP WDE
Created: 26 Nov 2012 | 3 comments
I am trying to resurrect a USB External HD that had been encrypted with PGP WDE. However, even using the quick format utility in Windows did not work. Is there a tool that will just wipe everything clean off the Hard Drive {don't care about data that was encrypted} so I can have a clean USB hard drive that is ready for use somewhere else?

You should be able to use diskpart inside of Window environment and run the clean all option. This will remove all the data from the drive. This includes the parition information so you will have to repartition and format the drive for windows to see it properly. Here is a Link to assist with using these commands and creating a partition after running it. Hope this helps.
