Hi All
A simple little question I'm sure but how can I tell how many points (if any) I have been awarded?

I can see my points when I click my username.
It display like "participant(35)".
did you get many points? :)

I thought that was the number of posts you had, while reward points were different.

Both the total post count and the number of points are displayed on every user's profile page.

The top item listed is "Status Level" which should have a "Title" (Participant, most likely) followed by the number of awarded points in parentheses. The post count is further down, usually at the bottom of the table, just above the links to recent posts.

The little "Top Users in Forum" sidebar on the right of the page is ranked by points as well, for regular users (i.e. it excludes employees).

That would mean that I have no points yet then :(

Yeah, thread starters are the ones who have to remember to mark answers as helpful and/answering the question. I'd encourage thread starters to be generous with the "helpful" ranking and reward people's intention to help.

The one case this misses out is folks who eventually work out the answer themselves and share it with others; that's really valuable stuff, and the forum system can't score it.

Regardless of any artificial measure such as the forum points, we here at Ghost HQ do appreciate the effort everyone makes who takes the time to return and help others (and we also really appreciate the suggestions people make, even if the nature of product release cycles mean the results aren't immediately apparent).
