  • 1.  Fresh install, use MR4 MP2, or just MR4?

    I'm going to be installing symantec endpoint protection on a windows server 2008 in a couple weeks. When I goto the symantec download page I see two packages, the 11.0.4202 MR4 MP2. and the 11.0.4000 MR4. Each one is 2 cds.

    Which one should I download (each one is 2 cds)? I know the MP2 MR4 is more recent, but there are both 2 cd packages. Can I just use the MR4 MP2 package? Or do I need to install the entire MP4 package first, then download and install the MP4 MP2 on top?

    You can just download the MR4 MP2 files and you'll have ebverything.

    With a fresh install you can install MR4MP2 CD1. If you are migrating from a previous version say MR2 or MR3, then you need to migrate to MR4 first, then migrate to MR4MP2.
