Do you have these 20 Drives dedicated for this client backup?

you would need to test the backup with Mulitple configurations and find the best configuration and time

so initially if you can use 20 Drives for the backup, enable Mulistream with no MPX and check how much time does it takes.. with 20 Streams.

they you start reducing the streams 15 and see the perfroamce on the client and backup write time too

again with 10 streams..

in this process you will find the configuration which gives the best output..

Totally down to the capabilities of the file system, your network and your media servers

If you are happy that the file system I/O and network are good enough then only testing will show what the best configuration is

We tend to put a LOT of streams per large server (something like one per letter / number [ a* b* 1* etc.]) and then adjust the numbert of jobs for that client until we get the bext performance

4 MPX is fine - you will find the number of streams by trial and error

For a client like this disk backups, especially de-dupe aith accelerator, would make the biggest difference
