Hi,

We got a problem with one of ours servers when making a full backup on it.
Its a Windows 2003 standard server 32 bits with fileserver role activated on a HP DL 80 G5 server using P400 Smartarray controller for the RAID and the job is excuted by Backup Exec 11d (rev 6235)
The system is on a RAID 0+1 (2*1To) partition and the data on a RAID5 paritions (2*(3*1To)).

The incremental jobs are performed every day without problem but the full jobs freeze the server 1 time on 5. The server still answer the ping but not much and the only solution it's to reboot it.

Thank you for your help,

Greetings,

Pierre.

But as i said, the freeze doesn't occure every time, so the time will tell us if it fixe the problem. So wait and see

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Pierre, Normally when

Hi Pierre,

Normally when selecing AOFO, I leave the settings as the default and don't select the type of snapshot to use.
However, I would now also look at uninstalling the RAWS agent from that server, and then doing a push install.
Finally, what role does that particular server have? Exchange, SQL, Oracle etc...

Cheers,

Craig
