Full backup of server A and restore it on Server B

Created: 27 Dec 2012 • Updated: 27 Dec 2012 | 4 comments

Hi All ,

Is it possible to do a full backup including system-state of server A and restore it on Server B ?

Server A and Server B are 2 different hardware servers .

The nearest i can find is through the selective files and folders and restore them to another location but without the system-state .

Please help ..

It would depend on how similar/dssimilar the hardware is from Server A to B

If you are using BE 2012 and you have taken a full backup, then yes you can restore Server A to Server B. Even if the servers have dissimilar hardware. This uses the SDR functionality of BE 2012.
