  • 1.  Full Disk Encryption of a standalone laptop

    Hello,

     

    I would like to know if Symantec EndPoint Encryption software can be installed on a standalone laptop (in workgroup, No AD support) without having a dedicated server.

    If a server is mandatory for the installation process will EndPoint Encryption function properly if there is no communication possible between the server and the laptop (must be offline after being installed)?

    You can have a SEE client as offline and it will work properly, but to create a SEE package you need the manager console.

    Yes, you can do it.

    It is  called  serverless  install.
