Hi,

May I know if Risk Tracer can work with Basic protection for server installation feature set?

--> Yes, it should work.

Network Threat Protection (NTP) is required only for active response to work, You have not installed NTP but make sure network scanning is enabled to ensure the network is protected.

Risk Tracer identifies the source of network share-based virus infections on your client computers.

When Auto-Protect detects an infection, it sends information to Rtvscan, the main Symantec Endpoint Protection service. Rtvscan determines if the infection originated locally or remotely.

Check this article to know more about it: About Risk Tracer

Hi,Chetan Savade

Always thank you for your prompt reply, but according to another forum page https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/risk-tracer-1 ,

Mithun Sanghavi
Risk tracer is a feature which would work hand in hand with Network Threat Protection.

If the Network Threat Protection feature is not installed, the feature wouldn't work.

which one is correct?

From the first of SebastianZ's links:

Risk Tracer requires Network Threat Protection and IPS to be installed and IPS Active Response to be enabled.

So unfortunately you will not be able to use Risk Tracer on a server that only has "Basic Protection" installed.
