    I am running a full scan and it is running for more than 15 hours. I don’t know when it will finish. Symantec Endpoint Protection software tells me that “Full Scan” Duration: 30-120 minutes. My HD capacity: 451GB and 213GB used and 237GB free. Why is taking that long to complete?

    It will be nice if this application had a progress bar proportional to the amount of work that has been completed. In my situation I need to stop and schedule this to be done some other time. Can I restart it at the point when I stopped?

    That sounds about right. Also depends on how big the files are and how many. Do you have compressed or zipped files? They also take time to extract and scan. If you stop it, it will not pickup where it left off. Why not pause it? Whats your SEP version?

    15 hour seems to be a long time. You can kill the scan and run a full scan again...
