I'm running Symantec Mail Security for SMTP on Windows Server 2003.

I need to Enable Full SMTP Logging on inbound MTA.

I need this because i use a tool for greylisting, that interfers with the smtp service.

I wasn't able to enable logging the usual way over IIS - Properties - Enable Logging.

I couldn't find an option in SMSS either.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

Generally we lock down most IIS specific functionality since we are tying into it. The only options you have available for you would be the logging within our program. You can set the logging levels in the "Settings" tab under Logs. MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) logging sounds like what you would want to focus on. This will log all information going through the MTA.

In order to get more specific you would need to log transactions on either an upstream device like the firewall or via packet capture on the SMS box.

*NOTE* Logging at Debug will log a large amount of information and run the risk of filling up your hard drive. You will need to keep an eye on disc space.

    Hope this helps!

    Tom
