Funny HTML Code in JPEG

Created: 22 Aug 2012 | 3 comments
I run a small business blog for a local nonprofit. A guest blogger sent me a guest post using a website I didnt recognize along with a picture to be downloaded. When I download the jpeg and then pasted it into WordPress, it had reams and reams of code attached that I didnt understand and that doesnt look normal. Could it be possible that a virus was attached to the jpeg?

Absolutely, there are many examples of this and known viruses that are spread this way.
