    Hello,

Is there anyone who knows to recommend me what is a future of Endpoint Encryption products from Symantec. After aquisition of the PGP, the Symantec had two sreams -Symantec Endpoint Encryption (SEE) with its Full Disk (FD) and Removable Media (RM) and PGP Whole Disk (PGP WD) and PGP Removable which is obsolet. I mean that this two stream will be consolidated into one. Which one it will be?

And the second question, is there a migration path from product that will be obsolet to the "future-based"? For example, I have the SYMC ENDPOINT ENCRYPTION 8.0 PER DEVICE I/O ESSENTIAL 12 MONTHS. There are both SEE FD as well SEE RME incorporated. When I need to renew it, I renew only one product for both part. I mean that in the future the main product will be PGP WD, but PGP removable is obsolet, and supported will be SEE RME. What am I to do to migrate to PGP WD with ability to encrypt removable media.

    Hello pkacer,

Last year I attended a PGP technical course were moderators (formerly Guardian Edge people) told me that the will be united in one product only, using PGP WD for hard drives, and SEE RS for USB and removable storages (since it also integrates with DLP via FlexResponse).

The did not have a date, but in 2013 they expect to have one product only. They also confirm that we won't have to decrypt / encrypt in order to migrate from the old software to the new one.

    Hope this data helps.

    Regards,
    LG
