Gateway record disappears

We are facing a wierd Problem . On some of our Windows 2008 Servers ,the Gateway record ( Part of TCP/IPI Version 4 ) disappears . To get the Gateway record again ,you need to uninstall Symantec endpoint Protection . The version being used is 12.1.4013.4013 .

What components are being used? did you install AV component only?

Have you tried with the latest version, 12.1.4.1b?

I would suggest a support call.

Have you tried to stop the service?

Install the latest client package 12.1 RU4 MP1b from file connect.
