Getting permissions for Exchange archives directly from SQL

Created: 23 Nov 2006 • Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments

Hi all,

is there any way I can find the permissions for archived mail messages directly from the SQL base(s)? I need to find out which user/mailbox a certain archive belongs to. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Thanks.

I am not sure what you are asking.

Are you asking if you can find out which archive a specific .dvs file belongs to?

You could try using the Find Archive function which is launched by holding the CTRL + SHIFT keys then right clicking on the Archives folder, this will open a new window where you need to enter the archiveID.

Thanks,

There is an utility which Symantec Support provided us with called Permission Browser tool. This can tell you the permissions on the archive. Hope that helps.
