Recently had to reinstall Symantec Ghost 3.0 with HF2 to a different drive.  However it doesn't seem that HF2 has installed correctly so I'm still getting the F: drive instead of the fixed M: drive mapping which is suppose to get rid of that -99 error.  What version number should I be looking for to verify that HF2 did or did not install correctly?

Ghost Solution Suite 3 with HF2 is build 1333.

Is the F:\ drive mapping the only reason you think that GSS hasn't installed properly? If this is a PXE menu item, this can be changed by editing the image in the PXE Configuration tool.

So I guess it install correctly.  I'm currently using the automation partition since pxe is not setup in our environment.  I'm currently using a virtual machine to create my images so the whole F: and M: drive mapping shouldn't really be a problem.  Just can't figure out why I cannot create an image at the moment and keep getting a -99 error.

    Can you do the following,

    1. Create a Job called "Automation Wait" and add to this a "Wait" task. Set the automation environment to "Default Automation"

    2. Drag'n'Drop this onto the machine giving the Error -99 error

    3. Allow the target machine to boot into automation. Once it does, it will stay there.

    4. In a command prompt in automation, type "net use". What is the output?

    5. In a command prompt in automation, type "echo %ALTIRIS_SHARE%" .What is the output?

    Sorry for the delay.

    net use displays

    New connections will be remembered

    Status                                 Local               Remote                                     Network

OK                                      F:                    \\LIB-JBC-IMGSRVR\eXpress  Microsoft Windows Network

    OK                                                             \\LIB-JBC-IMGSRVR\IPC$       Microsoft Windows Network

    the echo just says F:

The server is on a Windows 10 machine and the client is on a Hyper-V VM

Did a remote session with James to resolve.

To fix the following was required

    1. Fix -99 Error
Re-install again with all components on the D:\. This fixed the -99 error

    2. Imaging Not Working -Linux formatted Ghost commands being sent to WinPE Automation
Environment uses Windows Automation folders, but GSS thought they were Linux. This was because in PXE, only Linux was configured and set to the default automation. Configured a WinPE option in PXE and made this the default automation option to resolve.
