    hi everyone
i am using a old version of ghost that is ghost 7.5

when i try to use it to clone several PC with one ,but the speed is very slow ,only 60 mb / min (ghost7.5)
but i test the ghost 11 to clone the pc again the speed is back to normal

when i change the other switch ,the speed is back to normal with 500 mb/min with using ghost 7 5

dose any one hace ideas about this happened ?

i use this as a command to run ghost G7.exe -FNI -ws- -wd-

    thank you for your help!

If you have access to the switch where the machine connects, check that the NIC speed is 100Mbps and not 10Mbps on ghost 7.5

Also, I assume that English is not your first language, so can I ask that you clarify your statement:

when i change the other switch ,the speed is back to normal with 500 mb/min with using ghost 7 5

    What is the "other switch"
What is the first switch?  (the one that you used before the "other" switch, but have not mentioned at all)

Perhaps if you can give us a step by step description of what you have been doing, and the hardware and operating systems involved, then we will be able to assist you further.
Also if you are booting Ghost 7.5 to PCDOS or MSDOS and are trying to clone modern hardware, it is highly likely that your Ghost system does not understand SATA devices.

7.5 wasn't intended for modern hardware or OS.   I would try the 7.5 exe from the 11 boot disk.  that would anser the question about drivers.

    cheers.

Thank you for your help, yes my first language is not english.
the first switch is the 3com switch 24 port ,the model i forgot

the other one is dlink 4 port broadband router

i think this two devices are work at normal.

I develop the boot cd base on  netbootdisk and i added the ghost exe file to the cd and this netbootdisk can make a ram disk then match the network card driver and try to get the ip address from dhcp server .then it can automatically run the ghost software by using command that i mentioned before.

I use the ghost 11 the problem is not happened (the slower transfer speed )....

if you want to have more information ,please ask .
    thank you!

As mentioned above, version 7.5 is a very old release, and also, booting to PCDOS limits you to IDE/ATA hardware, or SATA only in compatibility mode. Do you have smartdrive loaded in DOS? This can speed up disk transfers, but you may need to play around with other drivers (for example remove mouse driver) if you find there is insufficient free RAM for Ghost to run when smartdrive is loaded.
You should also consider testing WinPE as the boot system instead of PCDOS as this has native support for modern hardware such as SATA hard disks. You can also add new drivers as required.
    The article at:
    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/readyadventures-winpe
will get you started with a WinPE on a variety of boot media. Since WinPE also supports USB connected hard disks, you could backup and restore to a local HD rather than the network, which can also prove faster.
I have certainly had no problems using Ghost 8 with WinPE to backup hard disks, so you may find that 7.5 is also useable in this way.
If not, you could also check out imagex.exe which comes with WinPE as this can create images as well, and since imagex does not include swap files in images, they can be smaller that the equivalent ghost image.
