Hello,
I'm having a huge issue with ghost agent. I have a Windows 7 x64 Enterprise image. This image was build in audit mode, as the deployment guide suggest. From there, I installed the latest version of virtual box, ghost agent and then ran a sysprep.
Problem is here: After I deploy to my labs, let say 1 lab of 20 computers, I see only 1 computer in ghost console. Looking at the 20 computer, none reported problem connecting to ghost console.
After extracting the full list of computer and mac from the database, I saw that all 20 computers had 2 mac. The first one was the virtual box adress, the second was the physical card adress. Since th first one is all the same, ghost sees it as 1 computer.
I manage to see all 20 by deleting the only present computer in ghost console, but the problem inside the database remain the same: They have all the same mac adress as primary mac. If I use one of the script to find a computer by mac and I input the real mac adress, it find no computer. If I enter the virtual box mac, it will find all 20 computers.
There would then be a need for ghost agent to have an option, maybe in the console, to verify for vmware or virtual box NIC.
This was run on a host computer. The OS isn't a virtual one. The application virtual box is installed on the machine and the agent is on the machine, not into a virtual machine inside virtual box. In fact, the application doesn't contain any virtual machine since it's install for teaching.
For now, I would need a script that can effectively erase all reference of a mac into all database so I can delete and reinsert all faulty computer.
Thanks
