    Hi Friend,

My understanding is that taking incremental back ups is possible only through Ghost Console. As of now, the latest verion of Ghost is GSS11.5.1.2266 and it is the only version of ghost compatible with Windows 7 machines.

Please let me know if you have further queries regarding Ghost.

    Regards,

Really? That is odd I used Ghost 11.0.0.1502 to pull a windows 7 image and deployed it with no issue at all? I am using PXE Boot? So what makes GSS11.5.1.2266 the only compatible with Windows 7 machines?

In this version of ghost it has the new WINPE pre-os ,Where it consist of all the latest and required drivers for imaging the latest machines.

I guess now u must be using PCDOS as pre-os in the older version..right??

-PCDOS totally runs on a different concept when compared to WINPE,PCDOS runs on the dos and the WINPE operates on the windows vista 32bit.

-WINPE has the major hardware compatibility.

-Storage drivers can be added to the WINPE template.

So when you are using the GSS 11.5.1.2266 you can use the incremental backups only through the console.
