I am trying to add the USB300M driver in WinPE-512, using the Vista32 driver from Linksys. For some reason it doesn't seem to see the .inf file. I tried a random Broadcom driver, and it didn't have a problem, so it's not necessarily user error.

This where I downloaded the drivers from http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/adapters/USB300M

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

    Best,

    Nick

This may be a limitation of WinPE, as the device you are trying to install is a network adapter that runs from the USB port. WinPE does not support Wireless networking either, as you need the full blown operating system to handle the interface with a wireless port, and I suspect the same is true of a USB device that is not block storage.

I would recommend checking with Linksys whether their drivers are actually compatible with WinPE, but I suspect the answer will be no.
