    Does anyone know of a plugin for ghost client on barts PE. I would like to image machines through the console without first booting and installing the client.

    I have a bunch of out of the box dells. To get to the os is like a 10 minute click through of setup. Then i have to install the client and ghost. I would like to skip this whole setup process.

    Hello,
    The plugin for ghost is by default in Barts PE.

    --> Plugin\ghost8\

    You can put the files to use Ghost or the Ghostcast console.

    I realize that but unless i am incorrect that does not include the ghost client that is needed to push images and AI packages from the GSS Console.

    I don't think bartpe would include the ghost client itself as i doubt it has licences to do so. couldn't you include the ghost client yourself when you make the bartpe cd?

    I know you can include plug-ins, but i do not know how to make the ghost client run in the PE. I thought maybe someone here would know where to get the plug-in or something.

    Earlier in this thread Tristan Gallet offered the helpful advise that the Plug-In was already present in BartPE. There are two key actions required to include Symantec Ghost 8.x in the build for BartPE

    1. Obtain the Symantec Ghost 8.x executables from a licensed and installed copy of either
    * Symantec Ghost 8.0 Corporate Edition, or
    * Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 1.0, or
    * Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 1.1.

    Obtain the following files from the Ghost installation directory:
    * ghost32.exe
    * ghostexp.exe
    * ghostsrv.exe
    * ghostcdr.dll

    Place these files in the directory "plugin\ghost8\files" where the file called "put ghost files here" is located.

    2. Enable the plug-in so that it is included in the build of BartPE.

    To do this

    * On the PE Builder v3.1.10a (the version I am looking at) main dialog, click on the Plugins button. A list of available plugins displays.
    * Select the "Symantec Ghost 8" plugin in the list. You may need to scroll down a little.
    * Click the Enable/Disable button. The "Enabled" status of the plugin should change from "No" to "Yes".
    * Click Close.

    This configuration of plugins will persist for future builds of BartPE so you should have to do this every time.

    Now build your new version of BartPE.

    Test.

    A menu containing Symantec Ghost and other utilities (Ghost Explorer, GhostCast Server) should now be available in the BartPE environment. The menu path is

    Go > Programs > Symantec Ghost v8
