  • 1.  Ghost Console Client Version mismatch

    Posted May 21, 2014 10:15 AM

I recently migrated our ghost server to a new dell poweredge. The migration went well using the scripts provided by a community member to backup and migrate the database. All my machines show up and I can run tasks successfully. I Do however always get a warning about running a product update which always fails to run. This does not keep tasks from completing. I looked into it and the warning has to do with the product verison I have on my clients. The clients have a newer version and it is saying that the required is a version lower. clients have 11.5.1.2298 and ghost says required is 2266.

Is there anyway to fix it so it stops attempting to run the product (downgrade) update?

I feel that my tasks will complete faster if that step is cut out and ghost no longer attempts to run it. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

When you upgraded your Ghost server, did you patch the server installation of Ghost to version 2298 ?

The latest version available for download is 2266, and 2298 is only available from Tech Support. Based on the fact that your clients have 2298, it would appear that your old Ghost server was also on 2298, but your new one is not.

    Thanks EdT,

I will look at my file share and see if a ghost patch is kicking around. If not login to my support account and grab the patch.
