Periodically I get an error from Norton Ghost and when I open Ghost it comes up with a dialog saying "Connecting and retrieving information from the backup and recovery service on" and then my computer name.
However this message just stays on screen forever and if I cancel out of it, everything in Ghost is greyed out.
When I reboot, everything is fine again. However, until reboot, it won't do any more backups.
I am using XP 64 bit SP2 and I have Ghost 12 installed running incremental backups every hour to a network drive.
Is there a resolution to this? Is there a service that has failed that I can restart just to get things going without a reboot?
