    Problem:

We have a number of workstations and laptops in our company, and just recently we started having trouble with the workstations pulling and pushing images. What happens is that the first time you try to pull the image, you get an error "Client File Missing - Copying from server", and it fails. The next time you run the image create task, it goes through all of the steps, but does not pull the image. Everything says success, but it never goes into the DOS interface for pulling. I have tried using filemon from sysinternals to see what file might be missing, only file that shows up as not found is MBR.bin. I have tried to find a copy of this file elsewhere with no luck. The only way I can get the pull to work is if I use a boot disk and go in set it up this way.

With imaging, once it gets to the configuration and SID change screen it locks up. We have gotten around this by doing a configuration after we image all of the computers.

We are using Ghost Solution Suite 1.1 v 8.3. All of the workstations are running Windows XP Pro SP2, and the ghost server is running Windows Server 2003.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I believe MBR.bin is dynamically generated to hide the virtual partition. which OS your client is running?

The OS that we are running on the clients is XP Pro. We may have solved out problem by copying the ghost client files over from a working computer to the client computer having problems. Somehow the ghost installation was corrupt and was installing a bad version of ghost, so it would never image or pull using that executable. Things seem to be working now.
