ghost solution suite boot usb problem
hello,
i downloaded solution suite trial so i could test if this product fits with our company.
i made a boot disk like this:
page 1: Pre OS type: windows PE + include deploy anywhere driver database with the image
page 2: then i selected "standard ghost boot disk"
page 3: parameters: -clone,MODE=restore,SRC=@mcimage,DST=1, SZEF -sure
page 4: name: administrator password: XXXX workgroup: WORKGROUP
mapped drive letter: Z: map to: \\testserver\backups
page 5: tryed DHCP will assign the IP settings
and tryed static ip like:
first ip: 192.168.1.5
subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (router)
Dns: 192.168.1.2 (server ip of ghost server)
page 6: select USB Disk
page 7: didn't add any files
page 8:
Client Details:
Client: ymantec Ghost
Destination: Kingston DataTraveler 102 1.00
Configuration Files:
START.BAT:
set path=%path%;x:\ghost
net use Z: \\testserver\backups /user:administrator XXXX
x:
cd \ghost
rem --- This will create primary OS drive configuration ---
ghost32.exe /setosdrives /blind >> x:\ghost\startlog.txt
start ghost32.exe -clone,MODE=restore,SRC=@mc1,DST=1, SZEF -sure
so now what is the problem:
when i put the usb in a computer it loads and says "can not find \\testserver\backups"
so the network driver doesn't load, yes i checked if the driver is on the usb and it is. but the map "WINDRIVERS" is not copyed to the RAM drive that ghost makes for the boot.
can someone knows this awnser.
thnx already
Bjorn
