Updated: 21 May 2010 | 2 comments
We have an imgae the was created on a CF-19 Toughbook with ghost solution suite. The laptop has a sata drive. If this image is applied to a CF-19 with an IDE drive it BSOD before mini setup.
How do you put a sata imge on an ide machine?

Kind of simple
You need to set up and run the deployanywhere.
This is the main use for it.
Solution-May be Hardware error
Normally in laptops, OS like xp and lower version require a SATA driver file to be loaded when formatting manually using F6 key in the installation. Otherwise the HDD is undetected by OS. The problem is not available in Vista because it contains newer SATA drivers.
So this may be the error you have .because the image is made for a SATA HDD. But if you need to use the iDE further just give a XP repair and a image from that it will work
The sata driver is available at the following link-search for DRIVER STORAGE.
