  • 1.  ghost trialware creating zero byte GHOST.EXE on client

    Hi All,

Not so much a question but a warning. I had an image create task that simply wouldn't work on a client. It would reboot after loading the network card drivers without loading dos ghost. Turns out the problem was a copy file action failing and overwriting the client's GHOST.EXE file with a zero byte copy.

A manual copy of the file and all is well again.

Still, pretty weird. Shouldn't GSS server md5sum the files it copies over and try again if they sums don't match up?

I had a similar situation as you. When I ran update.exe from the ghost folder(by mistake :) ), it deleted ghost.exe. after that when I run task, I had an exactly same issue as you. and after the task, I had a zero byte ghost.exe in the folder.
