We upgraded to Server 2008 form 2003 and now when we present a new LUN as a drive it shows in disk manager but will not show in ghost until we reboot. I understand that ghost32 just see what the windows box has but it is mountable in disk manager but not ghost?
What version of Ghost Solution Suite do you have?
Sorry I am in one department using the 2.5.1.2266 version and the department that is having the issue is using only the Ghost32.exe 2.5.0.xxxx not sure but know its not the latest and greatest. I gave them yesterday my Ghost32.exe which is the 2.5.1.2266 version.
Only latest version of GSS 2.5.1(build number 11.5.1.2266) supports Windows 2008.
When you mean support for Windows 2008 you are referenceing the ability to capture and restore a Windows 2008 image or using a Windows 2008 box to facilitate the image process with the Ghost32.exe?
