Thank you for your input. This forum does not directly support the retail Norton Ghost product, and a link to the Norton communities is provided at the top of this forum. One point about your posting - the second partition would need to be formatted in order to be able to act as a destination location for the ghosterr.txt file, and furthermore, if you are booting DOS media, the partition should be formatted FAT32 as DOS cannot write to NTFS partitions. Finally, there are also limits on the size of hard disk that DOS can access, so you may find problems where your available space is at the end of a 3Tb drive, for example.
