Ok guyz..as i saw the previous discussion about this error with installing norton ghost that many people were getting. The solution I found as the most convenient one is when you are about to install the ghost image for windows, you are asked for the disk space you want to allott to a drive. Do not allot the full disk space to a drive C, instead allot the amount of space so that the rest of the space will be your next partition. In this way, the ghosterr.txt can be copied to somewhere else other than your floppy drive. This solution is intended for those who do not have floppy drive or floppy disk available. Hope this will help u guyz.

For further problems you can email me at "motsim_2007@hotmail.com" . Thanks

Thank you for your input. This forum does not directly support the retail Norton Ghost product, and a link to the Norton communities is provided at the top of this forum.  One point about your posting - the second partition would need to be formatted in order to be able to act as a destination location for the ghosterr.txt file, and furthermore, if you are booting DOS media, the partition should be formatted FAT32 as DOS cannot write to NTFS partitions. Finally, there are also limits on the size of hard disk that DOS can access, so you may find problems where your available space is at the end of a 3Tb drive, for example.
