  • 1.  Ghosting Win7 32 Language bar problem

    Posted Jul 14, 2010 08:40 PM

    Hello all,

I have used Ghost ss 2.5 to Image and sysprep several Win 7 builds. Everything works fine except for the "Language Bar" which is turned off and my additional languages reset to the default system language only. Now I'm assuming this is Sysprep, however we require both French and Japanese along with English keyboards/languages to be deployed.

Can anyone tell me how to preserve the language settings in my image when ghosting?

Obviously Ghost allows you to select the system locale's etc. Also I have searched the web and forum's, but I've not been getting anywhere... am I missing something?

    Thanks for any help!  :)

Never Mind, further research has lead me to this:

“All installations of Windows® 7 contain at least one language pack and the language-neutral binaries that make up the core operating system. Licensing requirements state that Windows 7 can include only a single language, with the exception of the Windows 7 Ultimate and the Enterprise editions. These are referred to as single-language editions. However, the Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise editions can include multiple language packs. These are referred to as multilingual editions.”
